The Demand Planner will provide forecasting guidance to the sales team and track Key Performance Indicators.


  • Manage Sales Forecasting, POS data bases and provide replenishment guidance for all products within Home Improvement Channel customers, Lowe’s, Home Depot
  • Maintain overall inventory health of the replenishment and forecasting including POS trends, in-stock %, service level, and inventory turns
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile forecast variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales assumptions; Liaise with Sales to ensure execution of category S&OP processes (forecast validation) to achieve company objectives.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Product Development, and Finance to drive forecast accuracy and provide recommendations to the demand plan.
  • Provide key reporting to Inventory Management, Merchandising, Operations and Senior Management.
  • Monitor recent sales performance and Identify high, medium and low sellers, manage forecast exceptions and adjust forward forecasts at appropriate time horizons
  • Maintain weekly POS reporting, Track Key Performance Indicators on a weekly, monthly quarterly and annual basis, including store/DC level inventories.
  • Communicate product status updates to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Participate in collaborative monthly forecasting calls with customers
  • Support internal and customer business reviews with additional reports as needed
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.


  • College degree preferred
  • Experience with the Home Depot is highly preferred
  • Min 3 years of experience in Forecasting or Demand Planning for big box retailers and POS analysis is a must.
  • Full proficiency in excel, pivot tables and retailer database portals required.
  • Ability to effectively use strong analytical capabilities and a fact-based approach to develop effective solution to business issues
  • Strong problem solving, multi-tasking and prioritizing capabilities
  • Strategic planning capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills
